Room Information:

For sleeping arrangements there is a Main bedroom with a king-size bed, the 2nd bedroom has a Queen bed and the 3rd bedroom (an open plan loft style in the house) has 1 queen bed plus 2 single bunk beds.
There is also a queen bed in the loft - sleeping a total of 10.
A porta cot is also available for hire if required.
All bed linen plus towels are supplied.

Other Charges and Fees (Payable locally):

You will be responsible for damage to the premises or loss of or damage to any items in the premises and will be required to pay the cost of replacement or repair (at the discretion of the agent) of any such item damaged or lost.
Tariff includes a standard cleaning charge, in the event additional cleaning is necessary the guest will be responsible for any extra cleaning fees incurred.
Cleaning Bond - At check-in time we will request an imprint of your credit card (or a $200 cleaning bond if credit card is not available). The cleaning bond will be refunded in full if the premises are left in a reasonable condition upon vacating.
Any additional cleaning required will be charged at $30 per hour.

Included in the published rate is 4 adults. (Maximum occupancy - 10 guests). Of the extra guests 6 may be an adult.

Cancellations:

Cancellations require a minimum of 30 days notice to obtain a full refund.
Cancellations within 14 days forfeit 50% of deposit paid.
Refunds of cancellations after this time are subject to the property being re-let. Some conditions may apply.
Transfers and cancellations are subject to a $20 administration fee.

The administration fee on refunds is AU$20.00

Local Attractions:

Montville Village: is 8 kms or 8 minutes drive along the edge of the mountain, with views to Mount Coolum and the coast. Looks like an olde worlde English village with lots of tourist shops, cafes, arts and crafts shops.

Maleny: where the locals shop, a 1920s street-scape of interesting/eclectic shops, gourmet cheese shop (Colin James Fine Foods), organic market, large IGA for groceries, art galleries and on Sunday mornings go to the Community Hall for a farmers’ market & local crafts. Or visit the Maleny Dairy for a milking tour.

Pony trail rides: the Animal Farm @ Maleny.

Vineyards: Blind Man’s Bluff, Settlers Rise, Kenilworth Bluff Wines and Little Morgue Winery.

The Valley Rattler: Various scenic tours through The Mary Valley aboard a C17 steam locomotive, leaving from Gympie.

Australia Zoo: legacy of the legendary Steve Irwin. 30 minute drive from the house, on the way to Brisbane.

The Ginger Factory: Home of the World's Finest Ginger, Buderim Ginger, The Ginger Factory is the perfect place to experience a real taste of Queensland. There are plenty of things to do and see including many family activities.

Beaches: 35 minute drive to the surf at Mooloolaba, down the charming Hunchie Road which takes in little rural towns of Woombye and Palmwoods. Visit Underwater World.

Noosa: 45 minutes up the coast to this trendy, international seaside resort. Upmarket shopping and dining.

Eumundi Markets: These are now famous (Wed & Sat) with 100s of stalls. Eumundi is a small town with charm and history (on the way to Noosa).

Yandina growers markets: only 10 minutes from the house, private people also sell second hand goods and plants. Visit historic Yandina House.

Kenilworth: a leisurely hour’s round trip inland (Mapleton, Kenilworth, Witta, Maleny, Montville, Flaxton, Mapleton) past dairies, rolling green pastures, rivers. Stop in Kenilworth to visit the cheese factory, quality art gallery and organic butcher. Their 1930s unrenovated pub is a step back in time.

Bush walking: Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk provides for easy to difficult walks of short or long duration through spectacular mountains and valleys to waterfalls and rivers.
